Team LongTails
Jing Assignment-Introductions
Here is an introduction of each of Team Longtail's group members: Dana, Paul, Kris, Victoria, and Jackie!
DeMotivational Poster
The LongTails created a demotivational poster. We studied motivation and how to get students more motivated in classrooms. As an irony to this lesson, we used humor to be de-motivating.
Ball Drop
In this experiment, The LongTails was supposed to determine whether the ball would fall in front of, next to, or behind us when we were standing, walking, and running. We were then supposed to determine whether a ball dropped straight onto the floor or pushed off a desk would hit the floor first. Most of us were wrong in our hypothesis when predicting what would happen with the balls. Below is the video we made to document our results.
WolfQuest
The LongTails found a great program online called "WolfQuest." It is a game used to teach students about surviving in the wild. We used this to teach about chaining and extinction.
Cognitive Theory of Learning
As a group, The LongTails needed to use Kidspiration to create a concept map to teach how stories and emotions can help memory. We used Jing in order to record how our concept map was created and how memory can be helped using stories and emotions in the classroom. Kidspiration Concept Map

Understanding Understanding
The LongTails wanted to understand how other people understood how lightning struck. We did many interviews, research, and created a video to understand more about the topic. Here is our website.
Exploring Key Topics
In a group activity, Team LongTails created a website that leads readers to different webpages and applications to meeting the needs of diverse learners. Here is the link. Also, here are links to other hot topics about online learning in coordination with educational technology. Click on the links below to be directed to websites created by other groups in the MAET class.

Last Minute!
On this video/voice project, we needed to dub a voice-over to an assigned movie clip. We needed it to reflect a concept we learned in our experience in the MAET Summer Cohort Program.
